How to Register for a KRA PIN

Visit iTax Portal
Go to itax.kra.go.ke and click on "New PIN Registration".

Select Taxpayer Type
Choose "Individual" for personal PINs or "Non-Individual" for companies/schools.

Fill Basic Information
Enter your National ID number, date of birth, and parents' names. The system will validate these against the national registry.

Tax Obligations
Select "Income Tax - Resident" for employment/business. Only select VAT if you expect to hit the turnover threshold.

Submit & Download
Submit the form. Upon success, you can download the PIN Certificate immediately. A copy is also sent to your email.
