How to Register a Marriage on eCitizen

  1. Log in to eCitizen

    Go to eCitizen and select "Office of the Attorney General".

  2. Select Marriage Service

    Choose "New Application" and select the type: Civil Marriage (Sheria House), Religious Marriage, or Customary Marriage.

  3. Fill Applicant Details

    Enter details for both the bride and groom. Upload passport photos and ID copies.

  4. Pay Notice Fee

    Pay the notice fee (approx. KES 600). The 21-day countdown begins after payment.

  5. Book Appointment

    For Civil marriages, book a date for solemnization. For Religious marriages, print the Registrar's Certificate to give to your officiant.
